30 March 2011
I decided to cover Mido Cafe (美都餐室) for my very first post because I've been there about 4 times and it's one of the few that I remember from my 2007 trip.
Yay or Nay? It used to be a big Yay but became a big Nay on my last visit in early March 2011. The baked rice and yuen yong were cold. The pork chop strips were too tough with no taste.
But? Just go for the 60s retro ambience and the fame of the place. The window seats upstairs provide a sense of tranquility during off-peak hours.
To Try? Baked pork chop rice, yuen yong, iced red bean drink, bolo bao
Address? 63 Temple Street
Nearest MTR? Yau Ma Tei Exit C
