Yoshinoya 吉野家

No, I've not run out of food to write about. I just *love* Yoshinoya in Hong Kong. No, it's not a joke. I think it is comparable to the Yoshinoya in Japan. It's *that* good. Plus it has an assortment of shabu-shabu and meat cooked in the Chinese way (found in China's Yoshinoya as well) e.g. dong po meat. I usually just eat the beef bowl and it is yums. Go in the afternoon before 6pm to enjoy to afternoon tea set! I don't really have anything more to say other than find your nearest Yoshinoya here.

This may seem like a weird recommendation but considering how long I took before I stepped into an outlet, but returned shortly within a week, I think it's worth it. So what took me so long? The decor looks nice and clean. There were all sorts of advertisements and all kinds of set meals. These, to me, meant the place is overpriced (how else can they afford renovation?) and desperate for business (one million menus).

But it turned out to be wrong because the set meals are really worth it and yummy. I like the MSG used. This sounds totally dumb but considering how all food in HK has MSG, it's not really about the food anymore, is it? Fresh ingredients aside, the taste is enhanced by the MSG. So yeah, I decided I like a place or not based on whether the MSG is agreeable with me. It may be scientific nonsense but oh wells.

Yay or Nay? Yay.

But? Too many choices.

To try? The ones that come with free dessert (糖水) cos coffee and tea are boring.
