Very Good Restaurant 頂好海鮮酒家

At the entrance of this restaurant, there are many, many photographs taken with HK artistes and other famous people. I'm guessing they need this because the entrance, which is actually a flight of stairs to the basement, is easy to miss. When I first walked past this restaurant, I thought they were trying a little too hard. I mean, who knows when these photographs were taken? And does this reflect the standard of the food? With the endorsement of my friend on its char siu, I decided to try it too and I'm convinced!

Siu mei (燒味, assortment of roasted meat) is everywhere in HK. But good siu mei is not easy to find. Since I only tried the char siu and siu gap (燒鴿, roasted pigeon) here, I can only comment on these two. They were lips-smacking good! So I conclude, good siu mei comes at a price. Not that I think this place is exorbitant. The dishes I tried were all good. Their kailan was fresh, tender and crunchy. Very good!

Yay or Nay? Yay.
But? It's unlikely tourists will visit since it's not cheap and not that famous like Yung Kee
To try? Cha siu, siu gap and kailan (I can't remember what else I tried)
Address? 90-94 Nathan Road, TST
Nearest MTR? TST Exit B1
